The Company seeks to improve shareholder value by ensuring decent returns on investments while improving growth. It also strives to provide opportunities for economic development in Cebu, the Company’s area of operations.
CHI’s corporate objectives on the financial and operational aspects are found on page 5. These are discussed in the joint message of the chairman and president and expounded on in the reports of the Chief Finance Officer (CFO), and in the review of operations. The objectives are aligned with the 5-pillar strategy of mother company Ayala Land, Inc. (ALI). With Cebu being one of the growth centers in the Visayas-Mindanao area, the Company pursued new business opportunities and started to leverage synergies within the other business units of ALI in the development of various product lines: commercial center expansion, residential and office buildings.

Objectives and Performance
The Company strives to 1) mitigate land, air and water pollution by addressing the significant environmental impacts of our operations, 2) comply with relevant QEHS laws and regulations, 3) review operational processes for resource conservation and waste reduction, 4) mitigate occupational hazards and risks, and 5) improve efficiencies through innovative technologies.

Performance and Career Development Reviews.Year-end performance reviews are regularly conducted by the Company. All regular employees as of December 2011 were covered in this review. On a similar basis, probationary employees are given a performance review at least a month prior to the end of their probationary period. Contractual employees undergo the same review to determine whether their contract is to be renewed, extended or terminated.
